Child Protection

All Saints Catholic College fully recognises its responsibilities for child protection.

Due to the day to day contact with children, school staff are well placed to observe the outward signs of abuse. All Saints seeks to do all that it can to protect every child from abuse of any kind.

It does so in accordance with:

The DfE document “Working Together to Safeguard Children’ was updated in May 2016, for use from September 2016.

All Saints Child Protection policy has been updated, in light of this review, and awaits Governor approval.

All staff, at All Saints, have received training in relation to Safeguarding and in Prevent.

The current Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Mr Gus Diamond, Deputy Head.

The policy applies to all staff, governors and volunteers working in the school.

Our responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people is of paramount importance and we believe that safer students make more successful learners.
